Show Stubborn Fire at Factory-Causes Factory-Causes Loss of $50,000 Fire of unknown origin and ent-J. ing a loss of approximately $50,0m, broke out in the store room of the Gunnison Sugar company factory Tuesday morning at about 11 o'clo- .. and for nearly five hours the factory employees and volunteers' fought vui-iantly vui-iantly to save the building from UjUI destruction. Four hundred bags of sugar in the store room were removed remov-ed to safety. The entire loss was covered by insurance. The fire was discovered by Superintendent Super-intendent Hart J. Sanders and Frank Clcgg when they had occasion to vis't the store room. The fire, it is believed be-lieved had its origin in the pile of sugar bags located on the south side of the store room. The dense smoke, coming from the burning burn-ing sugar sacks, proved a hazard for the fire fighters and the men worked in relief. No real casualties resulted but many of the volunteers wen-forced wen-forced to leave the fire for fresh air. A. J.
