Show Health Day Plans Are Now Complete National Health Day, though scheduled sched-uled icr May 1 throughout the United States, wiil be observed in Gunnison j toruoi i ow, Fiiday, in a fitting manner. man-ner. For the purpose of making it convenient tor the -school students and owing to the fact that plans are being made for closing the schools soon, it was deemed best to observe vhe day earlier, thus affording all students an opportunity to take parti in the elaborate program and exer-j cises that have been arranged. Both the Gunnison and Centerfield schools will take part. The first feature of the day's program pro-gram will be a health parade. Assembling As-sembling at the Washington school at one o'clock the parade will form and a march will be made to the Gunnison Valley high school building where the festivities wiil be staged. The pa-lade pa-lade will comprise students of the schools and according to plans each grade or individual will represent some phase of health, either in costume cos-tume or otherwise. At the high school auditorium a health program will be given and some highly interesting inter-esting ideas will be advanced in the t numbers, consisting of stunts, health habits and general care of. the body. ! Following tiro exercises at the auditorium a ti'.".ck meet will be held at the high school grounds and the : Gunnison sixth, seventh and eighth grades of the Washington school will' compete against the same grades of the Linccln school at Centerfield. Parents and citizens are asked to take part in the observance of National Na-tional Health day and they are promised prom-ised some real interesting facts concerning con-cerning the advance the pupils have: made during the past year. |
