Show Boycott Epidemic May Go Elsewhere Last week we noticed a long article ar-ticle in Karl Karlton's Milford paper, that the commercial club of Ely, Nevada, had declared a boycott on the tradesmen of Salt Lake City, on account of Salt Lake members of the commercial club that are in business in that city not using their influence regarding the roads of that, the Ely section. Then in the Tribune of Saturday Sat-urday we notice where the governor of the state of Utah is making a trip down that way. So therefore, after putting this and that together, we sorter figure that the boycott Ely has placed is going to stick, and is drawing some attention. That's just what we are talking about for this section: That unless this big man, Bill da Rish, stops running that sloppy stuff in the Salt Lake papers, about what he is going to do regarding the routing of tourists tour-ists through Utah, and the merchants that sell us foodstuffs and things ! to wear and use, do no good to some-1 one that is in charge of this glorious I old state of ours, ana quell such j damnable movements, and map this ! country "on the square," showing all j roads and explaining all scenery, giving the tourists an even break to see what they want to see, and should see; give this same big stubborn stiff; a kick in the ribs and put an end to : his "bellyaching," and put an honest- to-goodness booster in his place, the people of Southern Utah should ! awake to the fact that it is time to declare a boycott on the same group j of people and get busy and do some- j thing too. And we will gamble with ! you that they will "come to their milk." We have seen it tried, and have had the pleasure of watching them "drink the milk." j Every tourist that comes this way tells us that we have better roads, more to see, as as good a class of: accomodating people as there is in ! any section in the west, and a great! many of them also tell us that when ! they reach Salt Lake City it seems alomst impossible to get any information inform-ation regarding this section of the country. We are human down this way, just the same as you are up north, pay ; for what we get, work hard for a living, liv-ing, send most of it up to Salt Lake City, then get a kick in the slats j when there is a chance to send someone some-one down here to see something that I has the world beat for beauty Won-. 1 derful Bryce Canyon, when in reality ! ,and with apologies to othtr sections, i people tell us that "there is nothing in the entire state, or west that can beat it."
