Show Mrs. Frank Salmon, accompa--lied by her sister, Lamona Peterson, Peter-son, left for Salt Lake Tuesday. Vlisses Rosa and Esther Peterson, who have been visiting with their sister, Mrs. Salmon, foT some time, are at their home at Cen-terfield. Cen-terfield. Mr. and Mrs. I. L. Isaacson and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Isaacson of Garland, were the guests at the home of Parley P. Childs several sev-eral days last week. The visitors visit-ors returned north Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bradley, who have been absent at Manti for several weeks past,, are at their home in Gunnison again. .-. Mr. and Mrs. .Howard Norman Nor-man motored to Nephi last Mon- day morning. They accompanied accompa-nied Mr. and Mrs. J. C. -P. Norman, Nor-man, who were enroute to their home at Uplands, Calif., to the Juab county metropolis. If. if. If, Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Hughes motored from Salt Lake Saturday Satur-day and were the guests at the home of Mrs. Ida B. Nielson at Centerfield over Sunday. Returning Re-turning they were accompanied by their children, Harold and Elaine, who haive been visiting at the Nielson home for several weeks past. Miss Theresa Duggins will attend" at-tend" the Provo high school during dur-ing the coming winter, and Tuesday Tues-day she left for the Garden city to prepare for school opening next Monday. if. if. Mrs. Wm. Voorhees delightfully delight-fully entertained at a chicken dinner last Sunday afternoon -at five o'clock, complimentary to Mr. and Mrs, T. V. Anderson of Orangeville, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whitlock, Mr. and Mrs Oscar Nielson and onrad Scow of Mayfield. Covers were laid for twenty-six guests. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Larson of Emery are- at the H. E. Larson home for a few days. Mrs. Larson Lar-son is just recovering from an operation performed at the Sa-lina Sa-lina hospital and is taking a rest before returning to her home. In the report of those attending attend-ing the funeral of Mrs. Gladys Arnold at Salt Lake, made in last week's issue, the nome of Mrs. Julius Duggins was inadvertantly inad-vertantly left out. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Newman New-man of Salt Lake were the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Duggins Dug-gins last Saturday and Sunday. . l LOCAL ITEMS i OF INTEREST Oliver Pedsrsen, who recently disposed of his garage at Center-field, Center-field, left for Salt Lake Friday. Mr. Pedersen expects to remain permanently at the capital city and dame rumor has it that Dan Cupid has captivated him and that his betrothal to a prominent young Salt Lake woman is expected ex-pected within a few weeks. Mrs. Emma Broadhead and son, Dee, left for Standardville Sunday, after a visit here of two weeks at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. V. Sanderson. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jensen of Mayfield announce the arrival of a baby at their home Wednesday Wednes-day of last week. Miss Tillie Larson has gone to Green River, where, she.-will, be the guest of her sister, Mrs. Annie An-nie Madsen. Miss Larson will be absent several weeks. Miss Iva Gribble left last Friday Fri-day for Salt Lake. Miss Gribble, a student-teacher at the University Univer-sity last winter, has been retained as instructor at the Onequa grade schools at the capital citf. Miss Gladys Young,, the guest of Miss Betty Villard for a week, returned to her home) at Richfield Rich-field Tuesday of this week. Mrs. B. S. Bastian returned on Sunday after a week's visit with her daughter at Bingham and with friends at Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Fred-rickson Fred-rickson and Mr. i and JVlrs. Chris. Michaelson attended the funeral of Sorenson Thorsen last Sunday at Glenwood. Mr. Thorsen, a world war veteran, was a nephew to Mrs. Fredrickson. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Childs are rejoicing over the arrival of a fine baby boy, born to them last Sunday. It is the first boy to ar-i ar-i rive at the Childs home. All are doing nicely. ! L. J. Arnold, office manager ! for the Gunnison Sugar company at Centerfield, accompanied by his son Earl, came down from Sa(lt Lake Tuesday afternoon. Earl will leave shortly for Idahc Falls, Idaho, where he will attend school during the coming winter. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Christiansen Chris-tiansen of Nephi were visitors at the home of Mayor and Mrs. Parley Christiansen the early days of the week. O. L. Malm gren, Gunnison Valley's leading apiarist, accompanied accom-panied by his son, Edwin, of Centerfield, and Hyrum Chris-tensen Chris-tensen of Mayfield, were travelers travel-ers to Salt Lake yesterday. Mr. Malmgren will remain until Sunday Sun-day and returning he will be accompanied ac-companied by his daughter, Miss Roberta., who has been at the city two weeks visiting with friends. , Miss Betty Villard entertained ten friends at a dinner party Sunday Sun-day evening, complimentary to Miss Gladys Young, of Richfield. After dinner the guests attended the show. Chas. Richardson, mechanical superintendent at the News office, jwent to Kaysville last Saturday.
