Show AXTELL NEWS ITEMS ! Mis. A. X. Bje regaard of Ephriam is visiting her daughters, M;s. Will Simon on and Mrs. C. V. Nielson. A. X. Ejerregaard of Ephriam spent Monday as a business visitor in Ax-tell. Ax-tell. Mis. A!onz;i Jensen and daughters are spending a few days at Center-field Center-field as guests of Mrs. Jensens parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Larson. Mrs. Ahmzo Nay of Centerfield spent several days as the guest of i her parents, Mr. and M.s. Will Si-: nonson. Miss Una Nielsen of the Snow Normal Nor-mal college is visiting relatives here for a few clays. Mrs. N. C. La'-son of Salt Take spent a few days here as the guest j of her niece, M.s. Paul Nielsen. ! M-s. Wesley Sovenson left Tuesday Tues-day to join her: husband at Salt Lake. Much credit is due the Relief so-. ciety presidency and officers for the successful program and bazaar held March 18. An interesting program, consisting of musical numbers and j short talks was held at 2 o'clock, after which refreshments were served. At 4 o'clock the bazaar was opened and the display was wonderful. In all it was one of the most successful times held here. The large dance at night was a fitting closing to the day's festivities. "Down In Dixie," put on at Axtell March 19 proved a grand success. Each member of the cast handled his part very successfully and the clever specialties between acts made not a dull moment throughout the two hours' entertainment. The advance agent of this company is securing future dates for the play in the neighboring neigh-boring vicinity, so when the next date is announced don't miss seeing "Down In Dixie." ! The Seagull girls, under the direction direc-tion of their leader, Mrs. R. J. Frand-sen, Frand-sen, entertained their mothers a a social Friday evening. The girls I proved to be very clever entenain- lers.and at 9:30 delicious refreshments were served. Sunday night the Ward primary held a very successful conference here. Several members of the stake board were in attendance. The noted feature feat-ure of the meeting was the splendid order the children maintained. . Tuesday night the Bee Hive girls held an apron and overall dance. The affair was very successful both social- ' ly and financially. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Mortenson of Mayfield spent Sunday at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Royal Whitlock. The new home of Mr. and Mrs. Sid-, ney Peterson is being erected with John S. Peterson of Gunnison as contractor. |
