Show Consolidation Plan at Legion Headquarters Consolidation of four divisions and a redistribution of functions of national na-tional headquarters of the American Legion at Indianapolis was put in effect ef-fect following approval by the national nation-al executive committee of the consolidation consoli-dation plan suggested by National Adjutant Ad-jutant James. F. Barton. The object of the plan is greater efficiency and economy. Under the consolidation, administration adminis-tration and membership and organization organiza-tion divisions become the administration adminis-tration division. Frank E. Samuel, former director of the organization and membership division, will bead the administration division in addition addi-tion to serving as assistant to the national adjutant. Emblem and film divisions have con solidated under the title of the emblem em-blem division. Oaklelgh E. Marquette, director of the emblem division, will retain directorship of this division. The post activities section is consolidated con-solidated with the community and civic betterment bureau of the national na-tional Americanism commission. The name of the bureau will in future be the community service bureau. |
