The ball given last week under the auspices uf the Pristine Club . was a bucccss in every way except, perhaps, financially. The party was not crowded, but those who did attend pronounce it one of the most enjoyable social events of the old year, The members of the Pristine Club went to considerable expense to issue unique little invitations invi-tations and to decorate the hall, which was done in artistic 'style. The drawing of the handkerchiefs ; was a novel, pleasant and exciting episode in the evening's entertainment. entertain-ment. It a Horded considerable amusement. There were less than half a 'hundred couples, so there was ample room, and all danced to their hearts' content until a late hour, when the ball broke up and all went home chanting its praises. The members of the Pristine Club should give 0 similar ball at 110 late day and no doubt it would be largely attended. |
