LEAGUE GAME SUNDAY Next Sunday Fairview 3 and Gunnison will play in a J league game at the Gunni- son diamond. Game will j be called at 4:30 p. m. 5 Facing one of the strongest bunches of ball players in the county last Sunday, Gunnison met defeat in her first game in the Southern Utah Baseball league on her own diamond with a score of 1 to 2. R. Draper, twirling for Moroni, gave a splendid exhibition of pitch-ng, pitch-ng, and proved his title as a ball player. However, he was only credit-id, credit-id, with five shutouts and allowed five hits. The Moroni boys all played splendid ball, but with a "fair" deal in umpiring would have little show with the Gunnison team. Up until-the sixth inning neither team had reached farther than the second bag. In the sixth Olfjon of Moroni gained second base on a hit ind a steal, and with Hardy's three-line three-line bang, the first score, of the game was made. Later Hardy reached the |
