Show Mayfield Doings. (Special Correspondence.) Mayfield, March 2. The Mayfield High School students gave an inter-"If inter-"If you have a Dleasant thoneht": sacramental meeting. The program was rendered as follows: Singing, "If you have a pleasant thought; opening prayer, by Wells Larson; singing, Memories of Galace; sacramental sacra-mental song, Rock of Ages. The biography of Joseph, the prophet, and a few instances of his life was given by Hazel Christiansen and George Larson. "The Unknown Grave was sung by Helen Christiansen. Christian-sen. The life of Brigham Young was given by Mary Olsen. Next a biographal sketch of John Taylor's life was rendered by Alta Scow; Live and instances of Wilford Woodruff was given by Enid Funtz and Hubert Larson; singing. "Dear to the Heart of the Shepherd"; Life and Instances of Lorenzo Snow by Gladys Anderson Ander-son and Erma Larson; Joseph Fielding Field-ing Smith's life was given by Leon Christiansen and B.udelia Fautz; Biography Bi-ography and instance of Heber J. Grant was given by Aleda Micheal-I Micheal-I son and Glen Anderson; closing song, I "My Father Knows", benediction by i Wallace Thompson. The services 1 were conducted by Milton Christiansen. Christian-sen. Miss Lilliam Christiansen, who is j attending school at Ephraim, spent i the week end here with her parents. Mrs. Clyde Willardson entertained entertain-ed the Social Circle club members at her home Wednesday evening. The room was cleverly decorated in honor of George Washington's birthday. The evening was spent in . needlecraft and merry making. A j delicious luncheon was served at 10:-30 10:-30 and each member was presented a basket of pop corn and in the center cen-ter of each was placed an American flag. Miss Alice Olsen, who has been attending at-tending school in Gunnison has returned re-turned home. The Pioneer class rendered a program pro-gram last Wednesday in honor of George Washington's birthday. A speech, "Why we have National Holidays." Holi-days." was given by Milton Christiansen. Micheal-! son. The program was closed by a speech by .Mr. Freichkneckt. Mr. Arvel Soreusen, o Emery, is visiting with friends and relatives here In Mayfield.. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nielson and children, of Centerfield, speut Sunday Sun-day with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Anderson. Ander-son. Mr. Conrad Scow has fed many prosperous beef steers this winter. He has sold 2 car loads before and has 5 car loads more which he wishes wish-es to dispose o soon. |
