Show Federal Money For Valley Farmers The first instalment of the $370,-000, $370,-000, amounting to $70,000, representing repre-senting the amounts to be loaned td the farmers of the valley through the. Gunnison Valley Farm Loan association, as-sociation, a branch of the Federal Farm Loan association, has arrived here, according to E. H. Bardsley, secretary of the valley association. The money was received last week and is deposited at the local banks and is now ready for distribution among the applicants. The $70,000 just received is only a portion of the amount applied for during early last I fall. Mr. Bardsley stated that the entire amount, $376,000 would be coming in daily and that within the next few weeks the entire amount will have been received and distri- buted among the applications. Since the organization of the local lo-cal association, approximately $540,-000 $540,-000 has been applied for by the farmers of the valley. Of this amount am-ount $235,000 has already been received re-ceived by applicants. With more than a half million dollars dol-lars distributed among the farmers of the Great Gunnison Valley, for the improvement of their holdings, it is predicted that there will be one of the greatest campaigns in improved farming ever witnessed in this section sec-tion during the next few years. With the money available and on such easy terms as offered by the government, govern-ment, local agriculturists will be enabled en-abled to build BeAutifui homes, improve im-prove the methods of farming and otherwise put their farms on the highest productive plan possible. |
