Show AMERICAN PLAN "WINNING. The American plan of conducting industries is winning in all parts of our country, as it should. The farmer never stops to ask a man looking for work whether he belongs be-longs to a union or has a card or not. What he wants is a man of good habits and who will do an honest day's work and take an interest in his work. Is there anything more un-American than organizations to prevent those who do not belong to them from having a chance to work for a living? That is why the American plan, or open-shop idea, that lets a man work on equal terms whether he is unionist union-ist or not, is winning out ajll over the west. Employers in western states are taking a square stand that there shall be no un-American discrimination discrimina-tion against any worker, organized or unorganized. The days of autocratic dictation to any human being by either capital or labor are past, and employers who stand for this principle are winning out. |
