Surprises were many when the masks were removed. After introductions in-troductions following unmasking, games of various sorts were indulged in, Intermingled with dancing. Near midnight a delicious lunch, the handiwork hand-iwork of the lady members of the club, was served. Mrs. Francis Halverson was hostess host-ess to thirty lady friends at an anniversary an-niversary party at her home last Friday Fri-day afternoon. For the occasion Mrs. Halverson had her home beautifully decorated with pink and white carnations carna-tions which created a pleasing effect. Progressive Five Hundred was played as a pastime and honors went to Mrs. O. H. Halverson as winner of first prize, while the second was won by Mrs. John Metcalf. Promptly at 5 o'clock a delicious luncheon was served. Mrs. Halverson was remembered remem-bered with a number of handsome tokens. Some forty of the younger people of Gunnison enjoyed a dancing party and luncheon at the Fayette dance hall last Saturday evening. The affair af-fair was arranged by Elray Christian- sen, Harold Halverson, Barth Fjeld-sted Fjeld-sted and Lester Jepson, and the "bachelor boys" proved themselves royal entertainers. The party went to the neighbor town in automobiles and the early part of the evening was enjoyed by dancing. At 12 o'clock a delicious hot lunch was served by Mien Host Peterson of the Elite cafe. 'Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Jensen were ,host and hostess to a number of intimate in-timate friends and relatives, a wedding wed-ding anniversary dinner party, at their home last Sunday evening. Covers Cov-ers were laid for Messrs. and Mes-dames Mes-dames June Metcalf, Ray Metcalf, Daunt Sanders, John Metcalf and J. M. Knighton. I Society j Some thirty intimate friends and relatives of Mrs. E. B. Childs 'responded 're-sponded to an invitation extended to be present at an anniversary party at the home of Mrs. Childs last Tuesday Tues-day afternoon. It was the 63rd anniversary an-niversary of the hostess, and she was the recipient of many beautiful and useful presents. The afternoon was delightfully spent in a real social time. At 5:30 a banquet was served. o In commemoration of the first anniversary an-niversary of the Bonne Foi club, the member's of the organization tendered ten-dered a masquerade party at Peterson Peter-son hall last Saturday evening, and the husbands -were the guests of honor. hon-or.
