Show Centerfield Man Buried at Manti (Special Correspondence.) Centerfield, March 9. James Jef- j ferson Coblantz. a new settler of this! valley, died after an illness of five days following an attack of influenza at bis home March 1. Mr. Coblantz was first stricken with the influenza and later pneumonia developed at such rapid speed that medical aid proved of no avail. The remains were I taken to Manti, his former home, last j Sunday, where funeral services were held. Mr. Coblantz, a. native of Brown county. 111., with his wife, two daughters and a son, came to the ! valley four years ago from Manti. i The deceased took charge of the Rob-1 bins ranch and met with success, llej was highly respected, and bis loss; is keenly felt by the many friends' he ' had made since coming to the valley. Influenza has a good start in our! town and many cases are reported.! Fortunately the disease is in a mild j form in most instances, but it usually I foes through the entire family once i; gets started. I |
