Brigham City At the meeting of the city council it was decided to purchase pur-chase equipment for installation on the new trwk procured from the state. Brigham City Water meters will he instilled by ths city at an early date. Salt Lake The municipal camp, for fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, daugh-ters, with a record of not one illness in four years, will operate a usual at the camping grounds of the Utah Outdoor association in Big Cottonwood canyon this summer. July 2G to Aug. 9, inclusive, a period of fifteen days, has been set for the camp. Infantiy, artillery, ar-tillery, cavalry and air service will bo utilized in these maneuvers. Brigadier Briga-dier General U. G. MeAlexander, commanding com-manding general at Fort Douglas, promises an interesting program. Citizens are cordially invited to witness wit-ness the movements. Ogden. Peter Buzukos, wrestler, was sentenced to six months in the city jail by Judge D. R. Roberts in the city court for accosting a woman on the street. It was alleged that Buzukos took the woman by the arm, and it was necessary for her to stop in a store and telephone her husband. hus-band. Salt Lake High school enrollment in the public schools of Utah in the school year Jut ended was 19,(369, and of these 15,557 pupils were un. der 18 years of age and attended school at least twenty weeks. From the state high school fund, supported by a tax of two-tenths of 1 mill on all taxable property in the state, the school districts receive during tha present year $8.22 per capita of twenty-week enrollment as noted. It Is reported from Kent's lake in Beaver county, where, he has jut been informed, in-formed, deputy game wardens arrested two men who had in their possession ft total of 100 fish. Of these only ten fish were more than seven !nd;e long. |
