Show Game Commission Asks Cooperation In Utah the open season for sage hens, blue grouse, ruffed grouse, prairie chicken, and mourning doves, will "be from September 1st to 10th, both date inclusive, in all counties of state state except Uinta county and the following game preserves: Has-ston Has-ston State Game Preserve, Cache State Game Preserve, Dixie State Game Preserve, Fish Lake State Game Preserve, Mount Ogden Game Sanctuary, Strawberry Valley Game Preserve, Big Cottonwood Game Preserve, Pre-serve, and Mt. Timpanogas State Game Preserve. Not more than eight birds may be killed and held in possession during any one day, and not more than twelve twel-ve birds may be legally killed during the season. In view of the fact that a considerable consider-able number of Hungarian Partridges Partridg-es and Pheasants have been liberated throughout various parts of the State, the fish and game department requests the cooperation of the sportsmen in the protection of these birds. There is no danger of mis- taking the identity of these birds if the proper amount of caution is used, as they do not range with the native game birds and their markings and habits are so different as to make them easily distinguishable. No other game birds, except the five varieties first above mentioned, may be legally taken during this open season. |
