Show MOTHER OF EMPORER, SUICIDE rincess Chin Committs Suicide By Taking Opium Peking rrincess Chin, mother of the boy emporer, Hsuan Tung, ousted from the throne February 12, 1912, died October 1, and it is reported she committed com-mitted suicide by taking opium. The reason is attributed by reports to a quarrel between Princess Chin and the empress dowager, Princess Chun.
