Show State Inspector Praises School "Notwithstanding the fact that Ihe Gunnison High school is cramped Cor room and conditions are not the best from a housing point for real work, I find the spirit of progressive-ness progressive-ness among the faculty and students highly gratifying." said Mosiah Hall, state high school inspector, on a Visit to Gunnison last Friday. Professor Pro-fessor Hall was just returning from a visit of inspection of the high schools in the southern part of the state, having visited practically all of the southern cities where high schools are maintained. "I find the Gunnison High school among the very best in the state." continued Professor Hall. "The students stu-dents are earnest in their work and the co-operative spirit displayed goes h long ways in maintaining the high standard you have in your school. There are approximately 100 students stu-dents now attending the Gunnison school, and this is a splendid showing. show-ing. I learn that the first official graduation from the school will be held this year, and that the class will comprise five of the students. When your new high school building is completed and better facilities for teaching and handling the various classes and grades are acorded, I have no hesitancy in saying that your schools will rank with the very best in the state." Professor Hall gave a brief address ad-dress to the students in the assembly room Friday morning, which was highly appreciated. |
