Show Highway Boosters Meet at Richfield A delegation of Salt Lake motorists, motor-ists, togeiher with enthusiasts from all the Intermediate points between the capital city and Richfield, will form a big caravan that will invade .Richfield on Saturday, April 10, for the purpose of holding a big rally in the Interest of the Salt Lake-Grand Canyon highway. It is intended to have representatives at the meeting .....from Gunnison, Ephrafm", Manti, Ml. . Pleasant and Salina, and .if the spirit -' ' is rightly displayed by the citizens of. this county and all other poiir.s, more than 100 cars should form the big caravan when the party reaches the objective city. According to the itinerary mapped out by George G. Calkins, field secretary secre-tary for the Utah State Automobile association, a stop-over will be made at Mt. Pleasant for luncheon. From that point the trip will be continued south and all the cities in this county along the highway will join in the procession. . The meeting at Richfield . in the evening will be attended by 'several hundred members and 'prospective members of the association The big topic of discussion will be the Salt Lake-Grand Canyon highway'andhow "to divert the bulk of transcontinental .motoring to the famous scenic Utah route. Ways and means of co-operation between residents of interested Utah towns and the state association will be discussed from every angle of mutual advantage. Governor Gov-ernor Mabey, if other business duties will permit his absence, will attend the rallies and aid in establishing the great asset to Utah. Situated as Gunnison is, and with the possibility of becoming one of the prominent places that will be passed by the hundreds of travelers in the event the travel is diverted through this . section, one invitation should suffice in the great movement. The matter of arranging for a delegation from this city, to join the caravan on its way to Richfield, is to be arranged by the clubs of Gunnison and it is believed that a record-breaking bunch of "boosters" will go from here. ...
