Show LAMAR REFUSED NEW TRIAL Conviction of Wolf of Wall Street for Obstructing War Program Affirmed. Washington. Conviction in New York of David Lamar, "the Wolf of Wall street," and Henry B. Martin on charges of conspiring to prevent the transportation of munitions of war to the allies, will stand as a result of the supreme court's dismissal on Monday Mon-day of the writ of error obtained by the defendants. Lamar and Martin were convicted in 1917 with Captain Franz von Rin-telen, Rin-telen, a German agent, and were given sentences of eighteen months. This was the second time that their case had reached the supreme court, which, a little more than a year ago, refused to review their case. |
