Show MAYFIELD max injured. a Charles Whitlock of Mayfield is confined to his home suffering from a broken leg he received Thursday of last week while attempting to stop a team 'e'f horses running away. Whitlock was riding his saddle horse when ' the run-aways were sighted, and in attempting, to stop them he placed his saddle horse directly in front of the maddened animals. His method, however, I proved ineffective, and his saddle horse was struck by the team running run-ning away and both rider and horse were thrown to the ground and both run over. The left leg of Mr. Whitlock Whit-lock was broken below the knee. The saddle horse escaped with a few bruises. , i ' |
