Show SUCH ACTS APPRECIATED. It is surprising to an editor sometimes some-times to have a patron come to the oflice and give an item of news, and apologize as though his visit might bo considered an intrusion. No man is more welcome than he who brings an item of news, even if it concerns himself. We naturally consider every man who lurnishcs us with an item to make our columns col-umns more newsy and it t -resting as a benefactor. We hope that none of our readers will feel- the least hesitancy in visiting the oflice, or appearing before us on the street, with a request to publish such an item. The more interest we can cause you to have in the paper the more its visits will be welcomed. Ex. We hope our readers also will paste this bit of advice in the window of their think tanks. |
