Show The fame of Ogden's social centei night school has spread throughoui the county, and the residents of several sev-eral country school precincts are arranging ar-ranging to inaugurate the plan. The residents of North Ogden have already al-ready arranged to open their school building as a social center! Wendell Phillips, charged with the theft of a diamond ring from Cora Cowing, also known as Mrs. James L, .lcGivern, who died about a month ago from a knife wound alleged to have been inflicted, by James L. Mc-Givern Mc-Givern during a drunken orgy in Sail Lake, has been held to the district court for trial. The new city lighting system, which has been under course of con, struction at Eureka for the past few mouths, was turned over to the city officers last w-eek, and the cere monies which followed will long be remembered h,y the inhabitants ol Eureka. Consolidation of the Amalgamated Sugar company with the Lewiston Sugar company was effected last week. Stockholders of the Amalgamated Amalgam-ated company meeting in Ogden and stockholders of the Lewiston company meeting in Lewiston, Idaho, ratified the merger. The largest order of blankets o( the many for which bids have been asked from the Knight Woolen mills at Provo is one just received from a New. York importer and commission merchant. The order covers various kinds of blankets, runing from a delivery de-livery of 40,000 monthly to 800,000 monthly.
