Show LOCAL ECHOES, Bishop E. L. Swalberg spent the week on business at Salt Lake. Mrs. Louis B. Bigler was honored with a birthday surprise party given Tuesday afternoon by a goodly number num-ber of her lady friends. The Tuesday evening card club had this week's meet at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Halverson. The following fol-lowing members attended: Messrs. and. Mesdames George Halverson, C, N- Jensen, J. W.Jones, Ray Metcalf, Neil Sorenson, Ira Overfelt and J. A. Hagan. Dr. Hagan and Mrs. N. Sorenson Soren-son took the prizes. The club met last week with Mrs. Geo. Halverson. A party in honor of Mrs. Anna C. Gledhill and her associates in the retiring re-tiring presidency of the Primary association was given in the R. S. hall Tuesday evening under the direction di-rection of President Inez Modeen and aids. Games and dancing were fea" tured and a warm luncheon served. By courtesy of Messrs. Frank Warner War-ner and Bert Garner of Salt Lake, representing re-presenting the Brunswick phonograph phono-graph dealers a pleasing variety of musical selections was also enjoyed. The high school notes this week came to our attention too late to publish pub-lish in full. Among the Items is mention of a concert to be given next Tuesday by the Junior Red Cross, which is connected with the school. The purpose is to obtain funds with which to purchase materials ma-terials to be used in making clothing for the men in the trenches. The program will consist of overtures and selections from operas, by the junior and senior classes and the band. |
