Show School District Consolidation Consolida-tion Effected The board of county commissioners pet in special session last Friday, In pursuance with the law as recently pissed by the state legislature, to de-Hlgnate de-Hlgnate school districts of the first class; also to divide each district nam-fed nam-fed into five representative precincts and appoint boards of education. Numerous petitions were presented wlille committees and representative men from nearly every town and city la the county were present to offer suggestions as to how each district should be divided Into representative precincts and to present their choice for the appointment of members on the board of education. The board of county commissioners then designated as county school districts dis-tricts the two high school districts as now constituted, to be known respectively respec-tively as "North Sanpete School District" Dis-trict" and "South Sanpete School District." Constituting the respective precincts pre-cincts and the members appointed on the board of education in each of the two districts are: North District 1st precinct, India-noia, India-noia, Mllburn and Fairview, E. H. Anderson of Fairview; 2nd precinct, Mt. Pleasant, C. N. Lund; 3rd precinct, pre-cinct, Spring City and Chester, John 8. Blain of Spring City; 4th precinct, Moroni, Freedom and part of Mead-pwvllle, Mead-pwvllle, Jabez I'aux, jr., of Moroni: 6th precinct, Wales and Ft. Green, Henry Jackson of Ft. Green. South District 1st precinct, Ephraim, Eph-raim, D. W. Thompson; 2nd precinct-Manti, precinct-Manti, J. B. Jacobson; 3rd precinct, Mayfleld and Sterling, Clyde Whit-lock Whit-lock of Mayfleld; 4th precinct, Cen-terfield, Cen-terfield, Axtell and part of Clarion, A. C. Fjeldsted of Ceuterfield; 5th precinct, Gunnison, Fayette and part of Clarion, J. M. Knighton of Gunnison. Gunni-son. The salary for members of the board is fixed at $200 per annum and $100 traveling expenses. Each . mem-bar mem-bar is required to give a bond la the nam of $1,000. |
