Show High School Notes A splendid program was given by members of the student body at 10:30 Washington's birthday. The parts were: Elva Sorenson, "What America Means to Me;" Calvin Mace, "Life of Washington;" Matilda Fjeldsted, original poem; Myrtle Thompson, song; Vesta Pierce, "Washington's Contribution to Us;" Mary Jensen, reading; Zella Sorenson, "The Spirit of America; Nora Mace, "The Flag Without a Stain." See us "whitewash" the confident grade school basketball team In the next game they are so anxious for. The sophomores are elated with anticipation an-ticipation of victory in a proposed spelling match. They were the winners win-ners when freshmen last year. Prof. Mosiah Hall, state high school inspector, visited our school last weej: and expressed satisfaction with the work being done here. For the national week of songs a spirited program of national compositions compo-sitions was given to the public at the R. S. hall Tuesday evening, the high school and grades joining under the direction of Mr. Dorlus. |
