Show treatment, returned home last Friday. Fri-day. They were accompanied . by Mrs. William Alworth, their daughter, daugh-ter, and lier son, Frank, from Twit Falls, Idaho. Mrs. Alworth returned to her northern home last Monday. Sidney Baxter, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Baxter, who enlisted in the U. S. army service last Semtember. has returned to his home in Gunni son, having arrived last Saturday evening. Mr. Baxter has been stationed sta-tioned at Camp Kearney and has been in the medical corps. Last Sunday Marie Gledhill entertained en-tertained twelve of her little girl friends, the occasion being the 12th anniversary of the hostess. A most delightful time was had by the little folks in games and other amusements. amuse-ments. Before the guests departed light refreshments were served. Barney Oldfield's record is at stake if Henry Knighton's new Sedan Se-dan Ford will behave itself. Mr. Knighton has just purchased a new car from the Casino Motor company local agents, and he is planning 'on enioying life during the beautiful summer motoring months. J. W. Nielson, treasurer, and W. V. England, president of Drainage District No. 1, of Sanpete county, motored to Salt Lake Wednesday They will be absent until the end of the week looking after Important business matters pertaining to the new organization. Miss J. Curtis will leave next Monday morning for an extended vacation trip to California points. She will first go to Southern California, Cali-fornia, visiting friends at Santa Anna, An-na, the beach resorts and other cities, cit-ies, after which she will go to Oakland. Oak-land. She expects to be absent from Gunnison about three months. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Madsen and Local and Personal Miss Eleanor Cunningham of Salt Lake City is the house guest of Mrs P. H. Billingsley. Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Childs and Mrs. R. Edwards visited friends at Salina last. Sunday. Mrs. T. F. Kearns of Springville Is in the city and is the guest of friends and relatives. C. N. Christensen, and son, Ralph, have gone to Henry, Idaho. They expect ex-pect to be absent several weeks. Miss E. Fleming, of the Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant, is the house guest of Miss J. Curtis this week. Miss Elna Myrup, a student of the Provo college, and who has been visiting vis-iting with friends here, has gone to Salt Lake for a short visit. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Sorenson, who have been visiting with Mrs. Sorenson's sister at Salt Lake for several days, have returned to their Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Madsen, all of Chesterfield, gre the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Madsen. Mad-sen. The visitors came here to attend at-tend the double wedding dance at the Madsen home last Wednesday. They expect to return north the last of this week. Miss Sainsbury, who some time ago lectured on Home missionary at the R. S. hall, will be in Gunnison Friday, Sune 20, to give practical instructions in home care of patients. Mrs. A. Villard has tendered her home for the demonstrations and ladies interested are requested to be there promptly at 1 o'clock, as Miss Sainsbury has an appointment ap-pointment at Centerfield at 3:30. home in Gunnison. Miss Dora Beck, a student of the University of Utah, is visiting with her parents at Centerfield. Miss Beck expects to return to Salt Lake in about ten days. Dr. C. O. Dewey, who recently established es-tablished offices at Manti, is in Gunnison Gun-nison for a month or six weeks. Dr. Dewey has taken charge of Dr. Hasan's Ha-san's practice during the latter'? absence in the east.- Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Porter, who have- been absent in Salt Lake for the past two weeks, have returned to Gunnison. The Porters will occupy oc-cupy the home of Miss Curtis during the latter's absence on the coast. Miss Alma Howell, a sister to Mrs. Ira Overfelt, arrived rrcm -jer home at Hawk Point, Mo., last Saturday evening. Miss Howell will spend the major portion of the summer in Gunnison Gun-nison visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Overfelt. Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Kearns. who have been in Salt Lake for two weeks, where Mrs. Kearns has besn undergoing examination for medical |
