Show ALTER PLANS FOR NATAL DAY Finns tor the big celebration on the Fourth of July and which was to be n welcome for the soldier boys lasting two days, has beon altered by the committees in charge, and instead in-stead of a two-clay function, it has been decidedto carry out tho celebration cele-bration on the Fourth of July. It, too, had been planned to give a banquet ban-quet to the soldier boys, but this has been abandoned. "But we are going to have one big time, you may count on that," one of the committeemen on arrangements arrange-ments announced. Tho celebration will be advertised throughout the southern section and a record crowd is expected. There will be no end of sports and entertainment. Beginning at sunrise sun-rise on the morning of tho Natal Day a salute will be fired and this will continue' at intervals throughout the entire day. There is to be foot races, horse races, baseball and al! kinda of amusements and sports. Eminent speakers will be here and many of the soldier boys have volunteered vol-unteered to relate their experiences in putting the "Huns" on the run. |
