Show Was Former Resident of Gunnison. Intelligence to relatives In this city readied here last week, to the effect that Mrs. J. P.Jensen, formerly Miss Rosetta Pickett of this city was not expected to survive. J.J.Pickett and another brother from Fayette made the trip to Mrs. Jensen's home but their sister had died twenty-four hours before. We are pleased to give place, by request of relatives the clipping which follows, taken from the Vernal paper: "Mrs. J. P. Jensen of Randlett, who has been in Vernal for medical aid passed away TUirsday night Feb. 24. "Mrs. Rosetta Pickett Jensen was born !r Gunnison, Sanpete county, October, 186U She married Mr. Jensen Jen-sen at Manti, In May, 1882 and moved with him to Ashley valley where they lived until after the opening of the reservation, when in 1908 they moved to the Colorado Park district near Randlett. She was an effectionate wife and a kind and loving mother and leaves to' mourn her departure, h'er husband ami six children as follows: fol-lows: Mrs. Annie Bowdeu and Mrs. Maud Keil of JJuchesne county, Fred of Roosevelt, and Wallace. Alberta and Jessie at home near Randlett. Mrs. Jensen died from a cancer. The funeral services will be held Sunday". |
