Show Aged Man Taken By Apoplexy. Fnneral was held from the R. S. hall at half past twelve o'clock Sunday Sun-day for John Peter Johnson, whose death last Friday night, June 2, was due to apoplexy. The speakers were John Larson and Adolph Peterson.' The hymns "Rock of Ages" and "Beautiful Zion" were sung by a quartet. Deceased has resided in Gunnison since July 1881, emigrating that year from Sweden. He was born May 30, 1833, making his age 83 just three days before his death. He leaves a wife and two sons. For some years past Mr. Johnson lived by himself and his death was not known to any one until late in the forenoon following follow-ing the night he expired. He was a member of the High Priest quorum. |
