Show Missionary Writes Home. Vancouver, B.C., Jan. 17, 1918. Dear Brother Gledhill: Your kind letter came to hand as a pleasant surprise. Thanks, ' many thanks to you and the brethren of the bishopric for the money sent me. I promise you that it will be used in a right manner. I never realized that I had so many friends until I came out here in the mission field. I feel that I have, through the blessings of the . Lord, made many friends here in Voncouver and vicinity, but I am so thankful and happy that my friends and brethren breth-ren at home remember me. I am thankful for the help both substantial substan-tial and otherwise that they give me to assist in fulfilling my mission, i God bless my brethren and sisters no one knows how I do appreciate their kindness. I feel that the Lord has blessed me to a wonderful degree since coming to the missionary field. Words cannot express my thankfulness and appreci-1 appreci-1 ation for the glorious privilege of acting act-ing as God's messenger in the cause of truth. I never worked harder in my life.
