Show CITY PROPERTY SHOWS ACTIVITY Marking time with the prosperous conditions throughout Gunnison valley, val-ley, the city of Gunnison is forging ahead in line of realty transfers and building and when the plans announced an-nounced this week are carried out several new homes will go up and thus Gunnison goes ahead as no Other city in the county. Three new homes are to go up as the result of transters made last Sat-, Sat-, " urday by Arthur Johnson to Gunnison Gunni-son men who have unbounded faith in the future of the town. Mr. Johnson, John-son, owning property on East Center street, sold to C. W. Perkins 20 feet. The plot lies just east of the Perkins home and a strip lying next to Mr. Perkins' new buy will be added and a new modern bungalow will be erected. Mr. Perkins plans immediate immedi-ate work on the new structure. William Metcalf closed a deal the same day lor a 5 0-foot tract lying just east of the property purchased by Mr. Perkins. Mr. Metcalf will shortly let contracts for the building of a modern bungalow. The structure struc-ture will be of red brick, it will have no less than five rooms and will be modern throughout, and will cost approximately ap-proximately $4000. When the house is complete the buyer and builder will present it to his daughter, Mrs. Daunt Sanders. The 170 feet involved in the sale by Mr. Johnson brought the tidy sum of $12 per foot and establishes a new lilgh record for residential property in Gunnison. Another important sale was consummated con-summated last Saturday when June Metcalf purchased a piece of ground with a 60-foot frontage and having a denth of some 200 feet from Jim Kearns. The consideration involved in this transfer was $500. Mr. Metcalf Met-calf has made no announcement as yet as to what Improvements will be made by him, but when building conditions con-ditions Improve it Is likely, that a substantial residence will dot the beautiful site. |
