Show A FABLE. ! By Nemo An innocent piece of flypaper la y on the window sill. Tabby, the cat. f, eyed it with dreamy curiosity and at 6 last, cautiously approaching, tapped it gently with one of her paws ; the paper stuck acd tabby put the other jf paw on the paper to loosen it. The paper ciuug to either paw, and the jjj cat jumped to th floor determined to fj let go the sticky mess., but the more she tried tbe worse it stuck. It soonife clung to her eyes, eosp and whiskers, and Tabby began to swear and howl like a drunken sailor. She screeched and flapped, and clawed her feet i tnrough the adhesive blanket, aud 1 ft with bristles up and tail extended she jumped through the opeu window, and historians say she is runuiug yet. The mot al of this litile fable is : We : I should lie very careful about butting ; iu on something that dent concern us aud of altempling to rsgulate the af- fairs of other people, , f |
