Show EXPLORERS' CLUB DROPS COOK. Holds That Alleged Discoverer of Pols Practiced Fraud on Public. New York. The board of governors of the Explorers' club met last Friday in executive session and, standing in silence, voted with bowed heads, that Dr. Frederick A. Cook will be dropped from the rolls of the club for frauds practiced on its members and on the public. Preliminary to its vote of exculsion, the board met to pass upon the report of its committee that has been investigating inves-tigating the validity of Dr. Cook's assertion as-sertion that he reached the summit of Mt. McKinley in 1906 be rejected by the Explorers' club as not worthy of credence." |
