The call for such a convention originated in Mt. Pleasant and was signed first by Mayor Jas Monson . From here it was sent to Manti and theu to Ephraira, for the signatures of the mayors of those cities. It was then forwarded, as a complete call, to all other officers mentioned in the county. The call BetB forth that a great majority of the citizens of Sanpete are in favor of substantial reforms in the laws governing the liquor tra-fic, tra-fic, and makes the statement that the respective municipalities can accomplished ac-complished what is desired, nnder existing ex-isting powers of legislation, if all work together. If the idea meets with the approval approv-al of all are nearly all the municipal officers of the county, aa it is almost certain todo, it means prohibition or ultra strict regulation and high license in Sanpete almost beyond a doubt, because the idea is feasible and has been put into effect in other counties. |
