The Swalberg-Laraon double quartette quar-tette gave an enjoyable evening of song, rausio and games Saturday as a farewell tender to one of their number, num-ber, Miss Ellen Huhn. In the guessing contests the first prize went to Mrs, Joseph Cbristenson and the consolation over to N, Gledhill. The honored guest waa presented with a handsome hand-bag as a mark of appreciation, There were present : Bishop and Mrs. Joseph Christen-son, Christen-son, Counselor and Mrs. Naphi Anderson, An-derson, Mr. and MrB. E. L. Swalberg, Miss Emily Larson, Mr and Mrs. C, P. Jensen, Mr. and Mis. N. Gledhill, Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Ferre, Elmer E. Eearns, Misses Gladys and Ethel Eearnes, Henry Knighton, C, A. Swlberg. Miss Ruby Jensen of the district school faculty was the recipient of a genuine surprise from a company of her young friends, twenty-two in number, Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs William Perkins. A lovely lunch waa served and the company com-pany charmingly entertained with games aud a musical program. Another party noted is that given Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Knighton, the occasion being Mrs. Knighton's fiftieth birthday anniversary. Tbe affair was planned unbeknown to tbe honored guest, proving a complete success not only as a surprise to her but also in the program carried out. Progressive sixty-three, some music and a dainty spread of luneheon were the entertaining features, Besides the immediate family were present : Messrs, and Mesdames Dr. J. A. Hagan, C. M.
