Vtnh, July 3. 19.-9. "To the Honurablv Board ot county Commissioners. Com-missioners. Sanpete County State of Utah. "Gentlemen: We, the undersigned, peti-tloners peti-tloners respectfully represent as follows: "That we, and each of us are real property taxpayers and qualifiedcleelors Of Gunnison. Sanpete jounty. State of Utah, and that we and each of us reside within the territory and boundary lines of the hereinafter proposed Gunnison City ; that we are desirous of or-ganlzlng or-ganlzlng into B city, the territory hereinafter described and of Incorporating for said purpose; that a description by meets and bounds of the territory to be embraced in the said proposed city is as follows, to-wlt: "Beginning at the quarter corner between sections seven (7) and eight (8), Twp. J9 South, Range 1 East of Salt Lake Meridian. Thence running South One Hundred and Eighty-three and 35 100 chains, thence South SDdeg-iiomin.. East Two Hundred chains, thence North One Hundred and Eighty-five and 05 100 chains to center of Section lo. Twp. 19 South, Range 1 East, thence West Two Hundred chains to place of beginning, "Hereunto annexed you will also flnd.au accurate ac-curate map or plat of the territory proposed to be incorporated as aforesaid -that the name proposed for said city so as aforesaid to be in-corported in-corported is Gunnison City ; hereunto annexed annex-ed you will find the affidavit of five citizens, real property taxpayers and qualified electors and residents of the said described territory, stating the number of Inhabitants residing within the territory embraced in said proposed pro-posed limits. 'WHEREORE, we respectfully pray: "1st. That the Honorable Board aforesaid forthwith designate the the class of said proposed pro-posed city. "nd. That the said board fix the time and place within the boundaries of said proposed city at which the election may be held to determine said question of incorporation. ''3rd. That the said Board of County Com-missiouers Com-missiouers give notice of said election by publication in the Gunnison Gazette, a news paper published within tne proposed limits of said proposed city, at leant once a week Cor four successive weeks, and also give notice ox the results of such election if lor incorporation, incorpor-ation, t "4th. That said notice of said election contain con-tain a statement of the contents ol' tins petition peti-tion and describe the territory proposed to. be incorporated and the officers to be elected and also that said notice designate the time ann place at which the election will be held. "And your Petitioners will ever pray." b'ollowiiig which said petition and attached thereto is the uames of One Hundred and Nine ( to9; petitioners, who are real property tax pay ors and qualified electors residing Within the territory embraced within the said proposed Gunnison City. Also the affidavits of fi ve qualified electors residing within the said territory proposed to be embraced vi-hinthe said proposed Gunnison Gun-nison City, setting out that the population of thesaid proposed city and the territory within with-in the said proposed boundary lines, is One Thousand 1000. In addition thereto and annexed to thesaid petition and made a part thereof, an accurate ac-curate mape unci piut of the territory within the proposed boundary lines of the said proposed pro-posed Gunnison City, foris a part of the contents con-tents of the said petition. At the time of holding said election as aforesaid, the qualified voters within the proposed corporate limits, shall vote for the following municipal officers, to-wit: One i&yor, live City Council men, one City Recorder, one City Treasurer, and one Justice of the Veace, to serve until the next municipal munici-pal electionand until their successors shall be duly elected and qualified.
