Show Celebrate Pioneer Day. Salt Lake City. The major portion of the towns and settlements of the state of Utah celebrated Pioneer day on July 24, the occasion being the sixty-second anniversary of the arrival of the Mormon pioneers in the Salt Lake valley. In Salt Lake, business was practically suspended, and the diffrent resorts were crowded to their capacity. One of the most pretentious celebrations was at Sandy. The town of Lehi also fittingly observed the day, as did Provo, Park City, Logan, Ogden and numerous other towns. |
