Show BRADY OF IDAHO AT HEAD OF CONGRESS Idahoan Elected President of Trans-Mississippi Trans-Mississippi Commercial Congress Despite Precedent of Years. Salt Lake City. Former Governor James H. Brady of Idaho was elected president or the Trans-Mississippi Commercial congress, nnd Wichita, Kan., was chosen as the 191" meeting place, at the final session in Assembly hall Friday morning. Following the completion of the business of the session the congress adjourned sine die. A precedent of twenty-three years was broken by the congress in electing elect-ing former Governor Brady president instead of John.H. Powell, who was chairman of the executive committee It has always been customary to elec! the chairman of the executive committee commit-tee to the presidency. A resolution presented by Stephen H. Love of Salt Lake urging congress to recommend to tne raiiroads the immediate im-mediate establishment of faster train schedules, to be maintained until normal nor-mal traffic conditions prevail and tho danger o.f a car shortage is eliminated, was adopted. |
