Show Clarion People Appreciative. Benjamin Brown, president of the Jewish colony at Clarion, wishes the people who proffered assistance in irrigating to know that his company appreciates the kindness and good will extended. Had water been-at their command the company would have been pleased to accept the proffered prof-fered help, bat there was not water enough iu the canal, at the time, to keep employed what men of their company were assigned to that duty. It will readily be seen that under such condition there was uo necessity for it, as their own mn would have beenidle. The Clarion people and others who have taken up land under the Piute project will lose a good share of what grain they have sown, for lack, of water through breaks occurring along the canal. The new Bettlers feel much disappointed over the Joss but look forward to better conditions next season. |
