The high school election to be held Saturday has become a question of more than pasting interest among the people in this sectkm the past two days Through a sentiment being started against voting a high school in Manti, man of prominence there have inaugurated a vigorous campaign to enlighten the people upon the new high school law. A delegation came down to Gunnison Gunni-son on Wednesday and met at the city hall with a goodly number of the representative men here. The situation situa-tion wasdiscussed pro and con, resulting re-sulting in a declaration on the part of Gunnison, sofaras represented at the meeting, to favor and use- their beat endeavor for a votd that will give a high school in Manti and one in Gunnison. A masB meeting was theu authorised author-ised and called for last night. There was a rousing response and the meeting, meet-ing, addressed by Judge A. H. Christenson Chris-tenson and Prof.. D. H. Robinson, was uuauimous to a man, for two high schools in tha South Sanpete distnot, with Manti audi Gunnison for tho locations. Similar meetings are being be-ing held today in Ceuterfield and Fayette , and one held yesterday at Mas field where the sentiment is ap-ppreutly ap-ppreutly against the proposition concluded con-cluded upon here and in Manti. A meeting is to take place in the city hiJl this forenoon for the purpose of organizing a campaign committee, iind ell will be done that is possible to get the people aroused on this question to the necessity of casting a full vote in favor of two high schools as above meutiorled. The Gazette from the first, has favored the establishing of two schools, and is still of the opinion that it will b-i the very best thing to do. The people in and surrounding Gunnison Gun-nison are entitled to the benefit of a iiigh school and now is the opportunity opportun-ity of securing one. Let every qualified voter in this surrounding district be out tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon and vote for a high school at Manti and a high school at Gunnison. All, male and female, whose names appear on tho registry list are entitled to vote. If it's a warm day, come out and vote. If it is snowing, come out and vote.
