Said we were a blessed people as compared with our parents of years ago, when they had to grapple with poverty and hard times find were almost destitute desti-tute of the necessities of life. Related Re-lated his experience with the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young College from its inception in-ception to the present time. The growth of the college was very ably portrayed, showing the advantage of such an institution among the various cities of the Latter-day Saints. This institution is now placed on the same basis as the colleges in the east and the west. Wc need all the facilities of education educa-tion that we can obtain in an' direction; di-rection; these institutions are the ones to enconrage;they deserve aid. Referred to the life of the Prophet Joseph Smith and the determination he had to gain an education, in which he succeeded ndinirabl y.
