NATIONAL LIGHT COMPANY, Sault Ste Marie, Mich. t h n It seems the Centerfield peace offi-oers, offi-oers, Marshal Winfred Fjeldsted and Justice of the Peace Embley, have been too vigilant for "bootlegging" in liquor to thrive there long. Last week Charles Larsen was pinched to the amount of $250, after having pleaded guilty to disposing of liquor illegally and pledging his word to not repeat the offense. Later Ed Jones penitently appeared before his honor and voluntarily confessed to a similar wrong, and got off with a fine of $60. A crowd of minors was taken up for being under the influence influ-ence of liquor, and one ot them was fined $50 for his part in having 'treated" the boys and the rest will be required to answer before the juvenile ju-venile oourt for their conduct. Minors Mi-nors using tobacco have also been dealt with and it is possible that a cleaning up of this infraction of the law will find ultimately the source of their obtaining tobacco. The prosecutions prose-cutions have been taken up under the town authority of Centerfield, who is deserving of commendation from all law abiding citizens for it. Kill More Than Wild Beasts.
