Show LIGHTNING KNOCKS UNCONSCIOUS UN-CONSCIOUS TWO LADIES. The atmosphere in and about Gunnison was yesterday afternoon well charged with electricity. Flashes of lightning came frequent aud heavy for about half an hour, a bolt striking the home of Emil Anderson on the depot road. First striking the chimney the streak coursed through the kitchen of the house and tore things in its path. Two of, Mr. Anderson's daughters were at the time standing by an open window iu the room, engaged in washing the dinner dishes. Both of I them were rendered unconscious and one severely burned, Dr, Hagan was summoned to their attendance. It was feared the iatter's condition might terminate serious, but now it is ascertained she will recover. It was s narrow escape for Mr. Anderson's daughters. |
