CRM Ernest Halversou is home to spend vacation, Mr. Halversou completes another year a 4-year high school course and special instruction iu music mu-sic at the B. Y. university, ARM Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Vorhees of Mayfield held a gathering of their children, grand children and great giandchildreu, at the Gunnison reser voir dam last Sunday. Mrs. LoreDzo Edwards of this city formed c.ne of the party. Picnic, liishiug and a geueral good time was enjoyed. t Fire on Wednesday afternoon swept clear away the corral and shed at Orson Ludvlgson's place, A hog and some chickens were threatened a roastiug but were let free in time to save them. Nothing could be done to check the fire after it was discovered discover-ed . The loss is slight. . w The Gunnison baseball team has engaged to play at Fairview today and at Mt. Pleasant tomorrow. . The team will be strengthened this time by Halversou, who recently returned home from school at Provo. The boys go in confidence that they will put up playiDg worth while this time. et K Elmer E. Kearns, Austin Mayfield and Miss Emily Larson, officers in the local organizations of the Mutuals left this morning for Salt Lake, to be in attendance at the geueral conference confer-ence of the associations conveniug there ia sessions to continue over Sunday. Mrs. Mayfield and children also accompanied. M St K Mrs. D. J. FarreJl with her two children arrived Thursday from Leasing, Lea-sing, Mich., for an extended, visit with relatives in Gunnison and elsewhere else-where in Utah. Mrs. Farrell is happy hap-py for the opportunity of visiting after an absence of seven years this mountain home of her birth. She was formerly Miss Luella Gled hill of this oity, daughter of Nephi Gledhill. |
