| Show THE OLD prospector SAYS dear editor the average man finds out a lots of things about human nature when he starts to build something this day and time the cost is terrific and makes one appreciate a house al ready finished sparta Ishma ishmaelite ehte offhand I 1 can cant t think of no line where prices have rose like in the building business when folks ad ded a room to their house in the farm community where I 1 was raised they usually managed to hold the cost down to around and as rooms then generally ran rm at least 14 square feet that figuered figg ered less than a square foot of floor space now I 1 understand the cost of buil ing mg a house runs around 10 a square foot and up 1 of course farmhouses then dian didn t have no bathrooms and they wasn gasn t finished fine outside but they were built of far better lumber than most of the lumber being used now yours truly THE OLD prospector |
