Mr. Culbertson, who comes from a family of bankers, arrived here from his home in Iowa fourteen four-teen years ago, beginning his work with the late Mr. Knox as remittance clerk. He rapidly rose to the position of assistant cashier and was very closely associated with the late Mr. Knox, who was one of the great bankers of the west, receiving receiv-ing most of his training under the former president. presi-dent.
