Show REX William Farnum, one of the most eminent of photoplay artists will be seen at the Rex theatre for the first three days of next week beginning Sunday in "A Wonderful Adventure," a drama of modern life. The plot of the story requires the playing of a dual role by Mr. Farnum and his work has been pronounced by eminent critics as being of a superior su-perior quality. John Stanley, a young mining engineer, en-gineer, and Demerest, a New York contractor, have a wonderful facial resemblance. Demerest, however, is a drug fiend. Stanley is possessed of a collie dog, his one companion and friend. The story requires that the dog show an aversion to Demerest as great as the affection shown for Stanley. Indicative of the faithfulness with which Mr. Farnum plays the two roles is the story of the training of the dog for the part he plays. In the completed film the result is astonishing. Rover lavishes every affection on Stanley but bares his teeth and expresses better than words his enmiy to Demerest. The picture is a masterpiece of photography and Is expected to be one of the biggest hits ever shown at the "just like home" theatre. |
