He is of English-Swiss de- H cent, his mother coming to Utah with the plo- K neers, and his father later on in the '60s. He E was born in this city in 1881, and received his H education in the common schools and in the St. 8 Hi BBaii8PWBMIliMMliBMKiattfciirtttJ Mark's school. Ho is a blacksmith by trade and is proprietor of a highly improved smith shop on the oast side. For two years he was a member of the city' fire department, serving under former Chief James Devine. He is a Knight of Pythias and an Eagle. Mr. Watts has never held office before, be-fore, but has always been one of the strongest wheel horses in the party. |
