Show "THE GREETERS OF SALT LAKE" HOTEL UTAH OPENS JUNE 15TH. With the return from the cast of General Manager Man-ager George Relf, of the Utah Hotel, the definite announcement has been made that the formal opening of that splendid hostelry will take place on June fifteenth. With this date settled, plans will ho pushed as rapidly as possible for the social side of the event, and there is little doubt but that it will be as brilliant an occasion as the town has witnessed witnes-sed in years. Meanwhile, Mr. Relf is rushing the finishing of the structure and with the arrival of the furniture it is expected the workmen will be out of the building before the first of June. While in the east Mr. Relf completed purchasing pur-chasing all of the furniture and carpeting for the hotel, and he announces the latter is being turned out by the Bigelow mills, and is entirely in Wiltons Wil-tons and Axminsters. A unique scheme has been hit upon for carpeting car-peting the large sample rooms. Two colors of carpets will be used and the colors will be alternated alter-nated in each tier of rooms, enabling the salesmen sales-men to select the location of his room and then the general color scheme to harmonize with his line of goods. Outside of this feature the rest of the rooms of the hotel, from the second floor up, will be carpeted in colors by tiers. Most of the rooms will be furnished in mahogany, with beds of the latest type of wood, with about one-third one-third of the beds in the hotel of brass. The furniture of the main lobby will be walnut, with heavy upholstering, and mention has been made in these columns of the beautiful forty-eight foot square rug purchased for the first floor of the main lobby. The kitchen ware is packed and ready for shipment and the special range made for the hotel ho-tel in St. Louis, is already enroute to town. |
