Show HAPPENINGS AND WHEREABOUTS V Miss Claribel Burton has left for her home in Illinois after completing her work with those who took part in the Kirmess. Miss Marjorie Jacobs, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs. S. A. White in the Philippines, will arrive home shortly, having reached San Francisco Sunday. Miss Eliza Dey was the hostess at an informal Valentine party at her home on Tuesday evening, which was attended by about twenty of her friends. Mrs. David Taylor was the hostess at a bridge tea at her home on Third Avenue Friday afternoon. after-noon. Mrs. J. T. Keith has issued invitations for a tea to be given at her home on Tuesday next. Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Boyer have gone to California Cali-fornia where they will spend several weeks. An informal dance was given at the University club on Wednesday evening by tlie men of the club. It was one of the most delightful affairs of the week. Mrs. A. H. Peabody entertained the whist club Tuesday afternoon at her home on Third avenue. In honor of her daughter, Mrs. George Tuttle of St. Louis, Mrs. George Y. Wallace gave a delightful de-lightful tea at her home, the Porches, on Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. and Mrs. W. Mont Ferry entertained at a dinner Tuesday evening for Miss Blanche Burko of Portland, who is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Whitley. Covers were laid for twelve. Mr. and Mrs. Charles B. Onderdonk gave a dinner in their apartments at the Stewart on Wednesday evening. For Mrs. R. L. Edwards, Miss Carrie Sapping-ton Sapping-ton entertained at a tea on Monday at her home on Twelfth East street. She was assisted by Mrs. C. P. Overfield and Mrs. Louis Gordon. Miss Eleanor Park entertained a dozen of her friends on Tuesday at a delightful luncheon at her home on South Main street. The many friends of Lieutenant Pendleton Rogers will be glad to know that he is rapidly recovering from his illness which necessitated his being at the hospital for eight or ten days. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Richmond and their daughters daugh-ters will shortly be at home again at their former residence, 1116 East South Temple. James A. Hogle and Owen Gray have returned from a trip of several weeks in Panama. Mrs. C. M. Bell was hostess at a delightfully informal luncheon on Thursday. Mrs. A. V. Callaghan is rapidly convalescing from her recent illness which threatened for o time to develop into pneumonia. |
